  1. I am using photoshop cc 2020
    With amd radeon r4 graphics
As i using oil paint filter it shows same message as one in video
    Everything is supported
But opencl is grey in advanced settings
I also updated the display driver but problem still persists
Hope you help me out using oil paint filter

  2. I'm using your tutorial in 2020 and though it looked a little different it worked! Thank you SO much. In my case on MacOs (Mojave) I had to "Disable Graphics Card Switching
This will disable GPU switching and force the MacBook Pro to use the higher powered discrete graphics card rather than the integrated GPU.

Go to the  Apple menu and choose “System Preferences” and then go to “Energy” control panel
Uncheck the box next to “Automatic graphics switching”
Note the text which states this may decrease battery life on the MacBook Pro “When automatic switching is disabled, your computer will always use high-performance graphics. This may decrease battery life.” – if you are not OK with that do not disable this option
Close out of System Preferences AND TA DA! Back to working!

  3. Thank you so much for this vid T.T I had a project due tomorrow and I can't make Photoshop work properly T.T You're a life saver! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!

  4. in my preferences>performance, my photoshop cc 2015 still cant detect a video card but at least it stopped crashing now. I did the disabling one graphics card ^^

  5. YOU ARE A GOD I SWEAR. IVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE FOR 2 MONTHS AND IT MADE ME BEHIND ON A PROJECT FOR MY GRAPHIC DESIGN CLASS. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS VIDEO. IM SO HAPPY I CAN USE PHOTOSHOP AGAIN 😀

  6. Wow- I spent a lot of time Googling this issue and no one mentioned this solution (the first one you mention, about conflicting graphics devices). In my case, I'm using on board graphics + GPU–disabling on board graphics fixed the issue completely. Awesome, thank you.

  7. my photoshop cs6 doesnot show any message but closed automatically when iam working . how to fix my problem ??
    windows 10

  8. You spent a lot of time promising to help. That's so nice of you. Thoughtful too. And very reassuring.

(I use a Mac)I don't get error messages, I just hit save and then it freezes, then the file becomes corrupted. When I open that file again, it opens up as one image like a broken led screen – all my layers merged. Pls help anyone. Pls. This is really frustrating.

Thanks for the great video, I learnt something new.

  9. Thanks it worked on my laptop, i uncheck the graphic cards of my Lenovo Ideapad 320 and it is now running. Thanks Godbless!

  11. SOLUTION
dude, you re the MAN, i searched on this subject for like 2 years (before your video release), with no , and absolutely no results ,NOW, i finallyy managed it to work perfectly , and that , thanks to YOU! , i didn't do exactly what you said , but atleast you made me understand what is going on, , for those who want THE SOLUTION which is TESTED ON THE NEWEST PHOTOSHOP CC that i used to fix it:
    if u have multiple gpus:
1- Make sure your drivers are working properly (aka updated from your PC manufacturer first before you check nvidia updates).
2- now since we are sure that we don't have any hardware / driver problem here is what to do
a-in Performance tab in settings: if it says "unable to detect gpu" , OR "Intel hd graphics"/ or any secondary gpu that you don't want to use , or even if the settings there are grayed out , then continue reading , otherwise this solution might not work
b- go to your gpu control panel (Nvidia or AMD) then go to whatever lets you put the prefered gpu for a specific program
c- put AIGPUSniffer Interface Binder of photoshop or any adobe product you re facing a problem with , put the prefered gpu to your main gpu, then APPLY , if you did this , go to "d"
d- put "Photoshop" or the adobe product u re facing problem with , put the preferred gpu to your main gpu then APPLY,
e- if that doesn't work , simply , right click on photoshop , go to "run this with the graphics processor " then chose your desired gpu,
f- TESTED on NVIDIA 840m , and it works with absolutely N.O C.R.A.S.H.E.S

  12. Yes! Finally someone solved the bloody damn problem! It was the graphic card screwing around. Went to PC Clinics and was told to reformat. But I hesitated. Life saver dude! Bless you!
